For teachers
Currently teaching at any Washington-state K-12 school — public, private, or charter? Thirty percent off every visit. Bring your district ID or current pay stub on your first visit and we'll tag your account.
What you do in the classroom outlasts everything we sell here. We're grateful.
The K-12 Teachers program
K-12 teachers and school staff qualify under the Heroes program. That covers classroom teachers, paraeducators, instructional aides, school counselors, librarians, special-ed staff, substitute teachers with active sub-list status, and other school-employed staff working in classroom-adjacent roles. Public, private, charter, alternative — if it’s a Washington-state K-12 school, you’re in. The credential we accept is your district ID badge (Seattle Public Schools, Highline, Renton, Bellevue, Tukwila, Kent, Federal Way, etc.), a current pay stub showing the school district, an OSPI certificate of teaching, or a school-issued employment letter. Bring it with your 21+ government photo ID; the 21+ ID is required for every cannabis purchase in Washington, regardless of any other credential.
Thirty percent off the in-store subtotal, every visit, on every category — flower, pre-rolls, vapes, edibles, concentrates, tinctures, topicals. Heroes doesn’t stack with daily deals: the register applies whichever discount is larger, so the better number always wins. Online orders carry a standing 20% discount; the Heroes 30% lives at the counter where we verify the credential. Summer doesn’t pause the benefit — once we’ve credentialed you for the school year, you’re in through summer break too. Re-credentialing happens annually if your status changes (district transfer, role change, retirement).
Seattle Public Schools — Franklin, Cleveland, Rainier Beach, Mercer Middle, Aki Kurose, all the Rainier Valley elementaries — Highline up north, Renton and Kent and Tukwila and Federal Way to the south, the smaller private and charter campuses scattered through the city, plus the alternative and reentry programs that don’t always show up in directories. We see badges from across South Seattle and South King County, and we built the program so teachers don’t have to spend their downtime translating eligibility rules at the register. Seattle Cannabis Co. opened in 2010 as a medical collective on Rainier Avenue South, pre-I-502 — same street, same neighborhood, fifteen-plus years on — and the crew knows that a teacher walking in on a Friday afternoon has been on her feet since 7 AM.
First visit: walk up to the register, tell the budtender you’re here under the Heroes Teachers program, hand over both IDs. Verification is quick — we look at the credential, note your account, and that’s it. Every visit after that, the discount is automatic on the receipt. Substitute teachers with active on-call status qualify; bring your sub-list paperwork or district ID. If you switch districts mid-year, just check in next time so we can update the record. The live menu is on the page if you want to scan what’s in stock before you stop in.
