botanicaSEATTLE is the parent company of such illustrious brands like Baked in Seattle (Spot Edibles,) Mr. Moxy’s Mints, Proper Chocolates, Bond oil, and Journeyman! From cookies, mints, & gummies to pre-rolls and topicals, botanicaSEATTLE has you covered inside and out.
When asked what sets botanicaSEATTLE apart from competitors, founder Tim Moxey is quick to reply, “At the end of the day, we’re a bakery. We want people to enjoy the experience of how our products taste.” Mr. Moxey just might be on to something – Spot’s edibles are among the tastiest cannabis-infused treats available in Washington state. Each item is a perfect specimen of it’s kind. Whether it’s a dense, chocolaty brownie or a soft chocolate chip cookie, Spot uses classic, time-honored recipes that are sure to please the pickiest palette.
For those of you concerned that great-tasting edibles might not provide the buzz consumers are looking for, think again! botanicaSEATTLE’s baked goods pack a definite punch that seems to surpass their 10mg dose of THC. How do you make baked goods that are great-tasting AND effective? “We use clean extractions and real bakers,” smiles Moxey. “The secret is house-made cannabutter, prepared in the traditional way.”
(THC) is generally considered to be the primary active substance in cannabis. Along with other psychoactive cannabinoids, THC is a hydrophobic oil, meaning it is insoluble in water but soluble in lipids(oil/fat) and alcohol. This means that the more THC binds with fats or alcohol during the infusion process, the more consumers will feel the effects of THC in the end product. Cannabutter makes for a particularly effective infusion (which also happens to be delicious.) With most producers of cannabis-infused edibles using ethanol (alcohol) extractions in their products, Spot offers a refreshingly different – and potent – product.
botanicaSEATTLE is not only committed to creating high-quality cannabis edibles, but also to helping the budding local cannabis industry. “We care a lot about the cannabis industry. We need to do it right,” says Moxey. “We want to find the best way to make the industry work.” That means delivering consistent, safe and reliable products with a high degree of professionalism. It’s clear that Spot takes this concept to heart from their spotlessly clean Seattle baking facility to their black adult-friendly packaging to their batch-tested edibles.
It seems there’s little that botanicaSEATTLE can’t do. It’s hard to find better tasting or more effective infused edibles. It’s icing on the cake that they want to better the cannabis industry for consumers and businesses alike. This makes Spot an all-around winner for us!
