Who we are
Seattle Cannabis Co is a locally owned shop in South Seattle, and we built it to feel like a neighborhood spot, not a chain, not a clinic, not a tourist trap. If you searched our name, you probably want a straight answer about what we carry, how to order, and what you need on hand before you stop in. So here it is, no fluff.
We carry flower, pre-rolls, edibles, concentrates, vapes, topicals, tinctures and accessories. We stock the brands we actually stand behind. If a product didn't earn its spot, we don't put it on the shelf that's the whole point of having budtenders who know the menu instead of a wall of everything.
21+ with valid ID
This one's simple and it's not negotiable. You need to be 21+ with valid ID to shop with us. Bring a current, government-issued photo ID: a driver's license, a passport, a state ID card. We check every time, every person, no exceptions. Vertical IDs are real and we read them carefully, so if yours is the vertical under-21-at-issue style, just know we look closely.
If you've got someone with you who isn't 21 yet, they can't come onto the sales floor. That's a WSLCB rule, not a house preference, and we don't bend on it.
How ordering works
You've got two easy paths.
Walk in
Stop in and a budtender will walk you through whatever you're after. New to a category, coming back to something you liked, or just browsing, we'll meet you where you are. Tell us what you're looking for and we'll point you at the shelf that fits.
Order online
You can build your cart online ahead of time and do pickup in the shop. Online orders get 20% off: that's our standing rate, not a limited promo, so you don't have to watch for a sale. Place the order, come in, hand the budtender your email so we can pull you up, and you're out the door.
Quick heads-up: we do pickup, not curbside. Come inside, show your ID, grab your order.
Cash only we have an ATM on site
Like most cannabis shops in Washington, we're cash only. There's an ATM on site if you forget, so you're never stuck. The short version of what to bring: ID and cash. Get those two things sorted before you head over and the visit takes about as long as you want it to.
What our budtenders are actually for
A budtender's job isn't to upsell you, it's to get you to the thing you'll be glad you bought. That means asking what you've tried, what you liked or didn't, and how you want the experience to go. We're not going to make health or medical promises about any product; that's not something a cannabis shop gets to do, and honestly anyone who does is bluffing. What we can do is tell you how something is built, how potent it tends to run, and what regulars come back for.
When we say "we tested this and it hit harder than the package suggests," that's the shop talking, not one person's hunch. Five budtenders with five favorite strains would be five different shops. We'd rather be one shop that knows what it's recommending.
Discounts worth knowing about
A few standing ways to save, beyond the 20% online order rate:
We support local heroes
We support local heroes: active military, veterans, first responders, healthcare workers, and K-12 teachers. Every visit, with your service ID, you save 30% forever. There's no loyalty signup attached and nothing to re-verify. Show your service ID and it's applied. These are the people who keep South Seattle running, and the discount is permanent for exactly that reason.
Industry discount
If you work in cannabis, there's a separate industry discount. It runs on its own verification cycle, so just ask a budtender and we'll get you set up.
Wisdom discount
Enjoy 10% off every day if you're 60 or older. Just let your budtender know at checkout, and we'll apply your Wisdom Discount at the register.
The loyalty program
If you're going to come back — and most of our regulars do — it's worth getting in the system. Sign up real quick and you'll be in the system for next time, with your first visit getting you 30% off. The signup is the part that matters; the discount is just the unlock.
From there it's a relationship arc, not a points-for-metals game. You start as a Visitor, become a Regular as we get to know you, then Local, and eventually Family. You earn points on what you spend, at a better rate if you're opted in to our SMS or email updates, and you can cash points in for a percentage off down the line. Ask a budtender to break down the redemption ladder if you want the specifics; it's not a flat conversion, so the bigger your balance, the better the unlock.
